Hi! Nice to be in touch. I’m a writer living in South London.
I’ve written profiles, essays, reviews and longform reporting about music and pop culture for GQ Magazine, The Wire, Pitchfork, Scotland On Sunday, DJ Mag and RBMA, among others. I was also a senior editor at Resident Advisor.
In 2023 I launched Microplastics, a newsletter of literary music criticism whose mission is to be intimate, insightful, and whatever else beginning with “i” that writing in that sphere currently lacks. Besides this Instagram account, the newsletter is also home to some of my photography.
As a copywriter, I’ve delivered campaigns for blue-chip B2C clients such as McDonald’s, Sony Music and Boots, and B2B giants including BSI and Veeam, since 2019. After working for an award-winning B2B tech marketing agency for two years, I’m available for freelance opportunities.
Other things of note: I’ve managed global teams of ~30, built style guides and tone-of-voice documents from scratch, project managed digital editorial products, devised social media campaigns from the ground up, and mentored aspiring writers on how to get better, quickly.
You can sometimes find me at Brilliant Corners, the London listening bar where I’ve DJd with two friends regularly for the past four years. You can listen to some recent sets here and here.
